Spring into action, whānau!
We’re excited to offer FREE Heart Health Checks as part of Whakapiki Wairua Day — quick, easy, and full of care. Proudly supported by Te Kupenga Hauora and the Heart Foundation.

Who should come along?

  • Open to all, especially great for Māori & Pasifika whānau
  • Tāne 30+ / Wāhine 40+
  • Those with a family history of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, or kidney issues
  • Anyone with high blood pressure or cholesterol
  • Whānau who smoke, vape, drink alcohol, or do little exercise

✨ These checks are free, supportive, and non-judgmental. Our team is here to walk alongside you and your whānau.

Whānau hunting in Hineuru Forest is now open!

Seasonal Whānau hunting in Hineuru Forest is now open!

The process is simple:

  1. Complete the online registration form.
  2. Mark Baker will review and approve your request.
  3. Once approved, you’ll receive your permit and can collect the gate key from the HIT office.

Permits will be issued on a first in, first served basis, and only one whānau may be in the forest at any given time.

🏡 Accommodation available: The shearing quarters at the farm are available for hunting parties travelling from out of town. For more information, please email info@hineuru.com.

We acknowledge and thank Mark Baker (Trustee/Commercial Director) for leading this kaupapa and making this opportunity available to whānau.

Venue: Clive Clubrooms, Farndon Road

 

Join us for Whakapiki Wairua Day! A special day full of connection, fun, and wellbeing for our iwi members of all ages.

This is a day for all generations: tamariki, rangatahi, pakeke, and kaumātua. There will be a wide range of fun activities and wellbeing offerings for every age, including:

  • Bouncy Castles

  • Haircuts

  • Massages

  • Access Bars

  • FREE Heart Checks & other health checks

  • Whānau-friendly kai and drink stalls all day

  • Hāngi to close the day

  • Relaxed space for kaumātua

  • Access to the Clive Pool – don’t forget your togs and towel!

 

Important Note: All tamariki must be supervised in the pool.

Pool Safety:

  • Kids under 5 must have a caregiver aged 16+ in the water (1 caregiver to 2 under 5s).
  • Kids aged 5-7 must be actively supervised by a caregiver aged 16+ (poolside okay), ratio 1 caregiver to 4 kids.

We’re now at capacity for the Kaumātua Ball – RSVPs are officially closed.

We’re currently reviewing all submissions. To help us finalise the list, please ensure you are a fully registered iwi member.

We’re excited to. be hosting 85 of our Kaumātua and can’t wait to celebrate this special evening with you all.

We are delighted to invite whānau to a very special evening – the Kaumātua Ball, a night of elegance, celebration, and connection.

Event Details:

*  Venue: East Pier, Napier
*  Theme/Dress Code: Black Tie

This evening is dedicated to our kaumātua (60+ years), with dinner, music, dancing, and wonderful company.
