Renata is a Napier based Trustee. He has four children and a twelve mokopuna.

Now retired, his previous occupation and experience saw him working in Forestry Development.

His hobbies include Hunting, Fishing, non-fictional reading, and arts and crafts.

Why did you want to be a Trustee of Hineuru Iwi Trust?

Renata was encouraged by whānau to stand as a Trustee. He believed he could contribute positively to the development of Hineuru.

Are there any particular highlights of being a Trustee?

A highlight for Renata has been working as a collective to achieve the goals and aspirations of Hineuru.

What advice would you give to those interested in becoming a trustee of Hineuru Iwi Trust?

“Ultimately, you are elected to the role of a trustee to represent the iwi. Your role is not one of self-fulfilment and progressing a personal agenda but service.”
